Alfa Romeo Milano Verde (3.0L V6 1987-92)

Known in Europe as the Alfa Romeo 75, after adding a laundry list of US spec trim the Milano was born. The “Verde” trim level signified by the green clover on the decklid means it’s equipped with the 3.0L V6. Strange that an Italian company has used what is thought of as an Irish symbol but hey, luck is universal I suppose.

The Milano is more than just a nice looking Italian sedan. The weight distribution is near perfect, with the transmission sitting in the rear of the car, just forward of the differential.  The rear breaks are inboard as well. With the exception of whats happening with hybrid cars, there really isn’t that kind of differentiation going on in cars at this level anymore.

Personally, I love everything about the Milano: the hard angles, boxy front ends, and spartan, Volvo-like interiors. If only it was a wagon.
