First generation Honda Accord (SJ, 1977-81)
Each first gen Accord I come across brings a smile to my face since living most of my life in States that salt the roads made them non-existent.
There is no doubt that the generations that followed were mechanically superior, quieter, and less prone to disintegration, but to me the original is still the best. Honda’s first sedan in the States has such great proportions and an exterior design that could easily pass for one of it’s European competitors While the later models rightly adopted a distinctly Japanese look of their own, I still find this Euro-influenced model to be one of my favorite.
