I’ve never posted a Ford Mustang, and I’m sure that’s sort of a criminal offense in the car world. Truth is there haven’t been many worth mentioning.
These two first generation models (1964-73) fading away in SE Portland had a nice look to them though so I thought I would share. Both are base models, the one on the right is a ‘68 in Lime Gold Poly and the left is a ‘66 in Silver Blue.
Most people warn you not to buy a car in it’s first few years since “they didn’t work the bugs out yet.” However, knowing a little bit about the auto industry reveals it’s a bit of the opposite. While there are advantages of waiting (Google “Subaru BRZ idle issues”) generally the bean counters get to it after a few years and take all the fun stuff out. It’s funny to look at the front end of both of these and know that there was a bit of that going on here in those few years.
