This is an International Harvester Scout II (1971-80).  Why is it that the coolest trucks are always orange?  Good to see something so eclectic in what could be argued as the nicer part of town, where almost everything is new.  The owner is bravely going without the Traveltop, a serious risk in Portland despite how dry it’s been lately.  

I do have to admit that Scout IIs confuse me a bit, they have so many different grille variations (if anyone has any insight on how the trim options were offered it would be great).  This solid painted one is my favorite, it’s simplicity is befitting that of a company focused on trucks and tractors.
